2022 -2023 THE PUERTO RICO Project
This season the NCWA has embarked on a bold initiative
but we desperately need your help to make it a reality.
This past October we launched the Puerto Rico Project. The NCWA will be the initiator of an entirely new conference. Puerto Rico has developed freestyle competitors in the past that have represented the American Island Territory in World and Olympic Wrestling. But Puerto Rican's have never experienced college wrestling with competition between Island rivals and the traditional folkstyle of wrestling that college competitors have known and loved for over 100 years.
With your Help we will purchase and ship 8 New EZ Flex College Mats to Puerto Rico to be donated to the first 8 teams to hire a coach and offer athletic scholarships for college wrestling. As of November 1st 2022 Seven Colleges have accepted the challenge. Six have hired coaches and are committed to offering wrestling scholarships.
Now we need YOUR help in securing and shipping 8 mats to these Universities. We will need $65,000 dollars to make this happen.
