Criteria for Membership into the NCWA Hall of Fame: 

The Hall has Recognized Ten Areas of Involvement or Contribution to Wrestling

  • NCWA Team Founder
  • NCWA Coach / Asst. Coach
  • NCWA Official
  • NCWA All-American Wrestler
  • NCWA Donor / Benefactor
  • NCWA Long Term Volunteer
  • NCWA Natl / Conf Board Member 
  • NCWA Corporate Sponsor
  • NCWA Outstanding Alumni
  • NCWA Univ. Administrator
Qualifications:
  1. Person nominating must be an official member of the NCWA Alumni Association
  2. Nominees to all areas of the Hall of Fame must be at least 5 years Post College Graduation
  3. Nominees must have minimum contributions to wrestling as outlined below

  • Hall of Fame Legend - Nominee: Must have Contributed to NCWA Wrestling in at least 5 of the 10 areas of involvement
  • Circle of Champions Nominee: A former NCWA wrestler that has contributed to NCWA Wrestling in at least 2 of the 10 areas of involvement
  • Hall of Honor Nominee: Must have Contributed to NCWA Wrestling in at least 3 of the 10 areas of involvement

4 Categories of the ncwa hall of fame

Criteria for Induction into the NCWA Hall of Fame - Legend
  • Minimum Age of 45
  • 10 Years minimum service to NCWA or member Institution
  • Displays at least 5 of the 10 Areas of Involvement
  • Unanimous Vote of the NCWA Hall of Fame Board
  • 90% vote of the Existing Hall of Fame Members
Criteria for Induction into Hall of Honor
  • Minimum Age of 35 
  • 5 Years minimum service to NCWA or member institution
  • Displays at least 3 of the 11 Areas of Involvement
  • Unanimous Vote of the NCWA Hall of Fame Board
  • 75% vote of the Existing Hall of Honor Members
Criteria for Circle of Champions Induction
  • Outstanding Achievement as an NCWA Wrestler
  • Five years Post Graduate
  • Displays at least 2 of the 10 Areas of Involvement
  • Unanimous Vote of the NCWA Hall of Fame Board
  • Remains a contributor in the local or national wrestling community.
Criteria for Founders Club Induction
  • Be the Original individual that founded an NCWA Program
  • Program must remain a member of the NCWA for at least 5 consecutive years and/or NCAA
  • Program must have qualified at least 5 athletes that compete in Nationals 
  • Five years Post Graduate
  • Remain a contributor to the NCWA Vision through volunteerism or financial support
